Mitsuko Makino

BEHIND THE SCEEN

​

Mitsuko was born in Kyoto, Japan. Graduated from The Osaka Mode Gakuen, a leading fashion institute in Osaka.  She has complited dual degree programs; Dress-Making course and Fashion Design course in three years.  She has worked for Itokin Co., Ltd.; a major fashion company in Tokyo.  Since 1989 she has worked as a free lance designer and a wearable artist. 

 

Mitsuko participated many fashion contests in Japan and she received  prestigious awards at each events.  In 2005 she was chosen a member of "Edinburgh and Kyoto Art Exchange Program" and she studied at the summer school of Edinburgh College of Art, United Kingdom.  In 2006 and 2007 she had chances to show her awarded garments  in Toronto, Canada and Wellington, New Zealand.  In 2008 she received the section  prize at the Montana World of Wearable Art Awards Show, New Zealand.  Now she tried to foucus on her works as a wearable artist.  You will see her beautiful works on each pages of this homepage.  Check'm up!
