2009年度もワールドオフウェアラブルアートアワードショーに挑戦するべく、フォールド(折る）をテーマにしたカテゴリーを選んだ。そして日本の美しい折り紙アートの技法を用い　ウェアラブルアートを製作した。ニュージーランドは資源保護のために輸入品の規制がきびしく天然の材料や規制品の素材を利用できないので特に注意することととなった。今回は海外審査を経て、ウェリントンでの本選でのファイナリストとなった。

Aiming to 2009 The World of Wearable Art Award Show, Mitsuko focused on one of the category: Special Section of Fold.  Using Origami, beautiful Japanese paper art, she showed those folding techniques in many ways. New Zealand has very strict regulations with respect to imports, so that, natural materials were carefully avoided. This art work was selected as a finalist on the stage in Wellington, NZ.
